Jon was born and raised in the humidity of Houston, TX and has been drawing all his life. He began illustrating comics and short graphic works in '97 and enjoys great creators like David Mack, Craig Thompson, Bill Watterson, Adrian Tomine, and Gabrielle Bell. He has lived in San Antonio, San Francisco, New Orleans, Austin and now resides in New York City.

Jon's work can be seen in the '03-'04 run of Monkeyman, the weekly comic strip featured on Kevin Smith's MoviePoopShoot.com and written by Brian Lynch. He has also contributed to art books from Quarto Publishing (UK) and the You Ain't No Dancer anthology Vol 2 & 3. In 2007 he published Hurricane Season #1, a fictional story about life uprooted in the wake of a Texas storm. He is currently working on a new book with the working title "This Life of Ours"
