Jon was born and raised in the humidity of Houston, TX and has been drawing all his life. He began illustrating comics and short graphic works in '97 and enjoys great creators like David Mack, Craig Thompson, Bill Watterson, Ashley Wood, and Adrian Tomine. He has lived in San Antonio, San Francisco, New Orleans, and now resides in Austin, TX.

Jon's work can be seen in the '03-'04 run of Monkeyman, the weekly comic strip featured on Kevin Smith's MoviePoopShoot.com and written by Brian Lynch. He has also contributed to art books from Quarto Publishing (UK) and the You Ain't No Dancer anthology Vol 2 & 3. In 2007 he published Hurricane Season #1, a fictional story about life uprooted in the wake of a Texas storm. He is currently working on an as-of-yet untitled graphic novel about art and the streets of San Francisco.

Things that inspire Jon: indie comics & lit, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cameron Crowe and Wes Anderson, a solid Amber Ale or glass of Cabernet, Pixar, modern world music, any given Sunday between September and February, Momoru Oshii, Peet's Coffee, Thelonious Monk.

Jon holds a BBA in Management Information Systems and is a Web & Interactive Project Management Consultant.
